Iranian short ‘Azadeh’ to go on screen in Latvia

Iran’s short ‘Azadeh’ is to go on screen at the 24th Riga Int’l Short Film festival in Latvia.

Iranian short ‘Azadeh’ has been selected to go on screen at the 24th Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS in Latvia.

Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, the 10-minute ‘Azadeh’ tells the story of a little girl who wants to meet her father for the last time, but her mother and brother don’t let her.

Amir-Hossein Beiranvand, Mahdieh Ahmadi-Rad, Masoumeh Korkizad, and Alireza Baharvand have appeared in ‘Azadeh’.

The film has won honors such as the best short feature award at the 41st UNCIPAR international short film festival in Argentina.

The 2020 edition of the Latvian festival offers original and challenging short films.

The viewers and filmmakers have the chance to participate in open discussions during the festival.

The event is currently underway and will be closed on February 16.
